Pressed Juicery

I actually already wrote this post, or well a post about this subject, about two months ago but because that was so far back I feel like posting that ust wuldn't be genuine, maybe that's just me, but regardless, I am just going to type up a new one. I wrote on my very first post how I wanted to start my blog a while back but because of school and work, I became overwhelmed and just wasn't able to sit down and do what I wanted and create it how I would like, so I put it on hold, but I did have about three posts done, this juice review being one of them.

Back in November I went on a day trip to the mall with my friend, Andrea, and we just spent the whole day shopping. Towards the very end, we passed a Pressed Juicery store and outside they had a sign that read 1 day cleanse $40. Now I had been really interested in doing a cleanse and had been on the hunt but all of them were a bit out of my range, or at least what I would've liked to spend. So of course I saw the sign and went in, asked a few questions and decided this was it, I just had to buy them and do it, So I bought the Cleanse 1, it was recommended for a first timer. I got 6 juices, a chorlophyll water and an aloe vera water.

So I did this cleanse I believe on a Monday, yes it was a Monday, so it was a school day. This day I had two classes but they weren't until late, from 5-6:45 and from 7-8:45 and I think this was one of my mistakes but I will get into that in a bit. So I started my day with Vanilla Almond. This one was amazing, one of my favorites, it was more milky type and it was just right up my alley. And I woke up semi early and had that at about 8-8:30 am. Next was Greens 2 and because it had apple, I think it balanced out the greens and I was pleasently surprised and actually liked it and I had this one at around 10:30 am. At around noon I had Roots 2 and for some reason I didn;t think much about this one but I honestly, this was one of my least liked juices of them, it was somewhat earthy and kindy spicy(?), just something about it I didn't really like. At 2 pm I had my fourth juice and by this time, I am doing fine, I have enjoyed most of the juices and I am really excited to finish and see what happens. By the way, because class wasn't until late, I spent most of my day in the library doing homework and/or studying. So yes, my fourth juice was Citrus 2 and I really liked this one, it had pineapple and I love pineapple water so I thoroughly enjoyed this one. By 4:40 I was having my fifth juice and this one was Greens 3, it has all the same things as Greens 2 except for one bonus ingredient, ginger. And because of the ginger, I hated this juice, it was awful and I just did not like it one bit. At around 7 pm I was down to my last juice and this was Chocolate Almond, again a more milky type but I didn't like this one as much as I liked the Vanilla Almond (simply because I don't really like chocolate, I definitely prefer vanilla to chocolate anyday) but I still really liked it and I noticed that I really savored this one. Now for the waters, you are supposed to have the Chorlophyll water throughout the day and the Aloe Vera water before bed.

Now overall, about the process. I would say I didn't really notice any change in my mood, I wasn't like super sassy or sad or angry at the end of the day from lack of food. I also, not that I actually really paid attention, but I obviously didn't notice any change in my body from morning until night. So although I am sure the juices did something, it wasn't anything super extreme.

About my personal experience. I did not make it. I am soooo sad to say that I did the whole thing, I did great but at the end of it, because I have class during what would normally be dinner time, my roommates and I would normally go to the dining hall after to eat. And although I had no intentions to eat, I went with them because I didn't want to go back home and be all by myself and miss out on how everyone's day was and etc. So I went and while in there I was hungry, I just wanted food! I tried sitting there and just having a few cucumbers, because on the little pamphlet I got it said to avoid eating food but if I felt I absolutely needed it to have a few almonds or cucumbers. So I had a few cucumbers but that was doing nothing for me and finally I caved and had a quesadilla. Ughhh I felt so bad after because I had done so well and it came down to literally the last like two hours.

In the end, I still would really love to try it again and do the whole day. My advice, to myself and to all of you, try to do it in a short span of time, this way you aren't awake for a long time after your last juice. So the next time I do this, maybe I will do it on a weekend or on a day when I wake up around 11 or 12 and go to bed at like 10 or 11. Second piece of advice, try to spread the juices out, do them every 2.5-3 hours. Have the first one and then once you are completely done with that, then start the timer for the next one. Thirdly, I don't think you should hide and stay inside the whole day, but definitely try to avoid any temptations.
