S'Well Bottle

S'well bottles have become very popular, in my eyes, fairly recently. Now if you haven't heard of them, they are just super cool and cute "aesthetically pleasing" reusable water bottles. The description says that they are supposed to keep your cold drinks cold for 24 hours and hot drinks hot for 12 hours. I first heard about them from Alexandrea Garza's gift guides for Christmas and I honestly didn't think much about them, mainly because I have two camelbak's and like 100 different Starbucks tumblers. But my boyfriend got one for Christmas and he really liked it so I became a bit more intrigued. Then, one day, I was like I want one, I need one. But I was thinking about how in my purse, my Camelbak does kind of stick out, and me being tricked by S'well, I was like I do need a cuter water bottle to carry in my super cute purse, plus my Camelbak doesn't really match. So I was convinced, I searched around the site and decided I wanted one of the really cute Valentine's Day water bottles. I choose the dark hearted 9 oz (because I wanted a cute little water bottle).

So the ordering and shipping process. First off, while checking out, I realized the site doesn't even allow for coupon codes to be enteed, which I think is a bit ridiculous, that is one thing they should work on, coupon codes. Ordering was fine, simple just like all other sites. I received my confirmation email right away and my order was shipped 2 days after. Well I ordered it at 9 pm on February 2nd and it was shipped by 4:30 am on February 4th. It was delivered on February 11th. So in total, from when I ordered to when it was at my doorstep, it was a total of 9 days which I think is pretty good.

Now for the cold test. I always pack up my backpack and fix my outfit for the next day the night before at around 11 pm or 12 am so I filled up my S'well bottle and packed it up at around 12. The next day at the library while studying, I finally had a sip at about 3 or 4 pm and honestly it was nice and chill. My water is kept at room temperature and I feel like it was a tad bit colder but it was still drinkable. I did though have the last bit of water the following day at around 11 am (aka 36 hours later) and it wasn't as cold anymore but it wasn't hot, it had kept it at a reasonable temperature. So to me, it withheld it's promise of keeping drinks cold for 24 hours.

And the hot test. So actually today, I realized I needed to try out the hot test so I made some tea in the bottle and took it with me to the library. I poured boiling hot water in the bottle at around 11 or 11:30 am and I didn't drink my tea until around 4 or 5 pm. I know that isn't 12 hours but honestly, I believe that was a long enough wait to really test it out. I opened up the bottle about 2 or 3 times, just because I was tempted and was curious to see the temperature and somehow, when I opened it 5-6 hours later, it was still very hot! I had to open the bottle, let it air out and blow before every sip because this really did its job of keep it the EXACT temperature, not just a little hot or kinda warm but boiling hot.

In my eyes, this bottle definitely does what it promises. It kept my water cold for a long time and my hot drink the exact hotness for a while as well. Definitely will be ordering more!!!!

Hope you enjoyed, see you Tuesday! Also, quick apology for this post being up so late, I was studying the WHOLE day and then at night, the power kept going out here on campus because of how rainy and windy it is, I actually got a warning for flash floods so hopefully you understand that as much as I wanted to, I just couldn't get to posting until now.

Love,

Bee
