Alex and Ani Kindred

Alex and Ani, I am sure you have heard of them, they have become a very popular bracalet company. They sell necklaces, rings, earrings and bracelets but the thing I see the most are their bracelets. I have 3 of the popular bangles but recently I saw they came out with a different type of bracelet around Valentine's Day called the kindred cord. I saw it, thought it was beautiful and just had to order it.

One thing about this bracelet is that with the purchase of it, Alex and Ani donate 20% of the purchase price to (RED). They state that the minimum contribution will be $25,000 and the sale is going from February to December of this year. Now for those of you who don't know who or what (RED) I will give a brief explanation: RED is a nonprofit private sector that hopes to raise awareness of HIV and AIDS and pave the way for a generation that is AIDS free. So I saw this and thought this is wonderful, I love this bracelet, I want it and now by buying it I am doing smething good, I am helping fund this mission. And to me, it was great, I felt good about making this purchase.

Now for the bracelet. As I said, it is a new line of bracelets they are launching so I am not used to this. On the site it says the bracelet is: "Adjustable station beads along a nylon cord, crafted in 14k gold plated (they also have sterling silver and rose gold), expandable from 5.5" to 9.5", lastly new functionality and fabric." So I ordered the dark pink kindred cord with a gold heart and when I got it, I have to say it was just as cute in person. It is very small and dainty but I really like that. When I wear it I honestly forget that it's even on, which is a bad/good thing. I will say, putting it on is a little difficult, it's like somewhat of a two person job (at least for me) and it's kind of annoying but once it's on I get happy and how it looks lol. The cord also gets a little ugly in the sense that mine has gotten kind of twisted, it doesn't stay twisted but it does kind of twist up which is a little annoying. But besides that I love my little kindred cord and definitely wouldn't mind buying other ones.

For shipping and delivery now. I ordered the bracelet on February 24th, on a Wednesday, at 11:42 pm. I received a shipping notification by February 25th at 10:01 am. Which is less than 12 hours from ordering to shipping so I was happy. By March 2nd it was delivered. So from ordering until delivery, it took a total of about 8 days. And to me, that's not bad, I feel it was reasonable.

Hope you enjoyed.

Love,

Bee
