Brandini Toffee & Lulu
Last post about Palm Springs and it makes me sad *sad face emoji* but it's okay, hopefully we can go again and for longer this time. But on to the post, today's will be about the food we had while there!
As I said in the last post, Thursday afternoon/night we went to a street festival and we put our name down at the restaurant we wanted to eat at and then decided to explore for a bit before eating because the wait, we were told, was going to be 2 hours! Ugh it seemed like we were never going to eat but don't worry, we definitely did. So during our little exploration, Josh's uncle went into this little toffee shop to buy none other than toffee (I know, crazy right?!). We walked in, they gave us samples and it was all decorated so cute. Not only that but omg was the sample good! Josh and I loved it and his uncle was buying a bag so I offered to buy us a milkshake with the toffee blended in, Josh obviously didn't deny free food so he said yes lol. The milkshake was sooooo GOOD! It was topped off with a piece of toffee and then the actual milkshake had vanilla ice cream and toffee pieces blended up. It was a decent size too, for $7. The guy that was helping us was also nice and funny. I wish this toffee was easily accessible to me.
So we got the milkshake, started walking a bit, went into Starbucks and then the restaurant called letting us know our table was ready, we were all in shock! As I stated above, the girl initially said 2 hours, we honestly hadn't even been out roaming for 15 minutes when they called us back. I don't know what the deal was but clearly it wasn't 2 hours. We had mixed emotions because we were hungry but because we thought it was going to be another hour and like 50 mins before we ate, Josh and I got the milkshake and his uncle and mom got Starbucks. But whatever, there was nothing we could do at that point so we walked back and went into the restaurant Lulu California Bistro.
The restaurant off the bat seemed nice and elegant. It was a bit crowded as well but considering they thought it was a two hour wait, it probably wasn't as crowded as it could've been. We were shown our table, sat down and ordered our drinks. Josh's uncle was really recommending their 3 course $19.99 per person meal, which is a great deal in my eyes! You got to choose an appetizer from a list of 2 salads and 3 soups. Then came your entree from a list of 12 wide ranging items from lobster ravioli, caesar salad, filet mignon and so on. Lastly dessert from a list of 4 things such as tiramisu or ice cream. Again, a great deal in my eyes! But, because of the shake, I wasn't going to finish any of it, I barely finish it when I just have one course, so I opted for the chicken filet sandwich which had bacon, avocado, swiss cheese, light mayo and it came with a small mixed green salad as the side. I will say I prefer fries, and I asked to replace the salad with fries but I assume the waiter forgot because I got the mixed greens so I took it for what it was and just ate the greens lol. But besides that slight mix up, the sandwich was so good!!!! The bacon was nice and crispy, the chicken nice and juicy, and the cheese was nicely melted but not overpowering. It was delicious and I was so full afterwards!

If you ever go to Palm Springs I highly recommend you stop at either or both of these places if possible! And with that comes the end of my spring break posts *crying emoji* we'll see what next year holds, my last spring break!
Hope you enjoyed this post, I know it's two food places combined but they really coincided and I felt it be better if I posted one long post rather than two short ones that were intertwined. Next post will be a planner one, wait until you hear what dumb mistake I made while planning.
Love,
Bee
