Zinc Cafe & Market

Please tell me that when blogger's, or anyone really, posts some delicious looking food, all you want to do is go to that exact place an try it? Because that's what I did lol. I follow ThriftsandThreads on Instagram, that's how I first found her and she posted some good looking food and tag this place called Zinc, in LA of course. So I told my mom about it and told her I wanted to go, and so we did.

We went early on a Sunday morning, they open at 7 and we went at around 8:30. There were like 2 couples and what looked like a father and his daughter. So it was pretty empty and I will say finding it, not that it was hard, but you definitely don't see it on a main street like driving by, you go there to go there! At least in my opinion.

So we parked and I first notice all this lovely street art, not just on the wall but on the sidewalk as well, which is all super cute and I love it. Then we cross the street and go in and omg. Now I know it's called a cafe and market, but this was a market to a whole other level that I just didn't expect! There were huge cans of oil, there were plates and bowls, all kinds of different grocery items as well, it was soooo cute! It was all set like an antique-y wood feel.

Okay so we went in and after we sat down in many of the open tables, we ordered our drinks, I got orange juice. We ordered our food and just sat and talked while we waited. When I was looking at the menu though, I realized something, it was a vegetarian spot lol. Not the worst thing you know, we were fine, but I just thought it was kinda funny.

I ordered the Huevos Rancheros which were spectacular! It was so filling and so good. It was a poached egg on top of tortillas, with black bean chili and mango salsa. I will say I wish there was a little less chili and salsa, just because at the end I had finished the egg and tortillas but there were still chunks of tomato and chili beans left over.

Service was good, the place was beautiful, there is also a little seating section outside that is adorable, they open super early(!) and food was good.

I highly recommend this place, my sister got some sort of burrito with some vegan meat and it was honestly good, I didn't taste much of a difference. So yeah, if you don't have a problem not eating meat for one meal, go! And the lunch menu looked good so go whenever but go, tell me what you ordered and if you like it.

I hope you enjoyed. I'll see y'all Saturday for a fashion post!

Love,

Bee
