Capitola Girl's Day

Hello, I mentioned in my last post that I finished school, I finished my third year of college and I just wanted to post a sort of celebratory post. Haha so two of my roommates and I went to Capitola beach area, mainly Margaritaville, because we just wanted to have a margarita and have some girl time. So we go and we are sat outside, it's so cute, we're like in the water, overlooking the beach and it's just a very nice and beautiful site, at night it would be lovely for a summer date. But anyways, we get there, we're sat down and we order a pitcher of classic margarita and add in some strawberries. We get the pitcher and of course take some cute pictures and we each, with the pitcher, get about 1 and 1/2 drinks. We cheer and try these things, omg, so good! I love fruity drinks and this one was good. We start drinking, we talk and we're just having a great time but we start to realize we're getting hungry and we look at the menu at Margaritaville and just nothing extremely sounded good. So we finished out pitcher, we're having the time of our life and started walking around to try and find some good food.

We're walking around and after maybe like 10 minutes, at most, of walking and looking, we see this Taqueria Baja and because Mexican food basically always sounds good, we decide to try it. So we walk in and I haven't had some seriously good Mexican food since I was home during Spring Break (maybe) so I go over the menu and basically all I see is ENCHILADAS. Omg that sounded just unbelievable so I ordered the 2 cheese enchiladas with rice, beans, some little salad and order a side of chips and a Coke (the ones in the bottle, the Mexican ones). We sit down and we can see them making the food, they have this enchilada salsa and just everything like, idk how to explain but just how it looks, I was like omg they had someone's grandma here earlier and she just made a whole lot of legit Mexican food. Haha needless to say, I got more and more excited with every second that passes. I get my enchiladas and I dig in, so good! It's all so good and so authentic and so real, it was exactly what I needed and had missed. My friends enjoyed their food as well. It wasn't like a restaurant, like sit down and super nice, it was kind of a little shack but while we were there a good amount of people were just coming in and out of there so I don't think it's a super popular place but it is good and if you want some good Mexican food and don't really need the whole waiter and fancy things and just want to go and enjoy the food, I highly recommend this place.

We finished our food and then kind of spur of the moment (because we had a friend that dropped us off and was going to pick us up at a certain time, which it was not yet) we decided to go back to Margaritaville and split another pitcher. Me and my friend weren't sure but other third friend was like come on it's on me so obviously we were more into the idea of free drinks. So we went back and we sat like right next to the table we first sat at haha and we ordered another pitcher of the classic margarita but this time, we got jalapenos in it. Not my first choice but I wasn't paying so I just went with it. Once we got the pitcher, again we each got 1 and 1/2 drinks, but I barely drank 1 cup this time around lol. The drink itself really wasn't bad but because of the jalapenos it was spicy which made me thirsty but the more I drank the drier my mouth felt so I ended up ordering a cup of water which really still didn't cut the spice but helped. I will say though, the servers were all really nice and because it was night time and the sun was like setting by the time we went back the second time, they offered us blankets! I had never heard nor experienced that before. I gladly accepted a blanket which helped keep me nice and toasty until we finished the pitcher and were finally picked up.

This was one of those times where we did something kind of spur of the moment and just ended up basically perfect. I got to hang out with my girls, enjoyed some delicious Mexican food and had about 2.5 drinks while watching the sunset as I was floating above the water. I definitely recommend going to both Taqueria Baja and to Margaritaville but remember, get strawberries added instead of jalapenos lol.

I hope you enjoyed and I can't wait for my next post!!!

Love,

Bee
