Tourism Day 1
Andrea, my friend from school, came to my town to stay with me for three days, there's a reason why she came but you won't find out until tomorrow lol. But she landed Monday night and on Tuesday we went and did a handful of things and went to places I really wanted to go to and we just really played tourists.
First stop, Melrose. OMG how exciting, truthfully, the idea was sparked because we wanted to try the boba from Alfred's Tea Room and she wanted to try Alfred's Coffee. So while planning the stops and places we would go to, I saw that they were both very close to each other and also near stores like Dash and Nasty Gal and House of CB and all these cool shops. Omg these places were definitely the place to be as tourist lol. I also saw the pink wall! The journey started with Alfred's Coffee, we both got Iced Chai's, we then walked up and down the street, stopping inside stores to shop because I was looking for an outfit for tomorrow. Didn't really find anything there but we kept looking, we probably spent like 2 hours or a little more just walking up and down a few blocks. After the shops, we went to Alfred's Tea Room, we actually went to another Alfred's Coffee, realized, and quickly guided our way to the correct Tea Room lol. We both got the matcha there with boba. OMG both were delicious. Of course I was nervous because of all the hype from Instagram, I expected a lot. Well let me tell you, it held up to all those standards I had set. It was a decent size, bigger than a regular I was used to, UNBELIEVABLY CUTE, honestly tasted good, the matcha and the boba! From Alfred's Tea Room I also tried a ham & cheese croissant, oh that thing was amazing! But as I said, we just walked up and down the street for about two hours, tried the two Alfred's and then we left Melrose and head to...

Our second stop, Burbank lol. We went to the Morphe Store, I bought two brushes and she bought one I believe. It was really nice and pretty big in my opinion, the workers were helpful but not annoying. It's a new location and I had never been to the old one but Andrea did say that on Snapchat the other place looked, mm, not as pretty as the new one so based off that they made a good move! The Morphe store was about a block or two from Porto's, which is another quite popular place and has delicious food, which we were yet to have since our two frozen waffles in the morning aka we were hungry. I got a chicken milanesa torta and two potatoes balls, the four cheese one was better than the original one in my opinion. And after porto's we went to Josh's school, we went to visit our friend Lyla and then wen went to ...

Our third destination, The Grove. This was Andrea's first time there and she loved it lol. We were looking for an outfit for me so we went to the classic stores and I found just the top at Top Shop. It was so cute and looked cute and it was what I had envisioned! Not in the exact color, which I ended up seeing afterwards, but still a cute color and maybe it was for the best. But I found the shirt, walked around and enjoyed the view, the few stores that were open and I got a few blurry pics lol. From there, since it was already getting late and the stores closed within an hour or so of us being there, we headed off to...

Final destination, LACMA lights. How basic I know. But it's okay, everyone's gotta try and go there at least once right? Especially when being a tourist. So we went, got a few pictures of the cool lights, tried avoiding all the other people who were there taking pictures and then went home.

Typing it out and looking over it, maybe it may not seem like a lot, but we were out on the streets for 12 hours or so. And considering how much we got done, I say we did a pretty good job! I got so many pictures today too which was extremely nice! I
I hope you enjoyed coming along this journey with us. Come back tomorrow for another Touristy post!
Love,
