October Favorites

Omg, its NOVEMBER! I have to start planning for Christmas gifts already. Just the other day I bought my ticket to go home for Thanksgiving & as I'm excited to see my family, I also need time to slow down. But the month of October so it's time for some monthly favorites!!! Who's excited?

First thing, Anastasia Ultimate Glow Kit. I have been trying to build up my make up collection & I figured investing in some palettes would be a lot more cost efficient than buying a million seperate single items to get. I have heard nothing but great things about these glow kits but from what I had seen online, I didn't fully love any of them. But, but then, omg, I saw this ultime kit that had 6 shades instead of 4 and was only a bit more than the 4 pan glow kits. I found this baby at Ulta & instantly knew i would love using all the shades, well all but snow but I was fine & was willing to at least try it. I figured if anything it could be an inner duct highlighter lol. But omg, snow ended up being my favorite thus far. I have only tried three but so far really like them all.

Second, going off the first fav, my eco tools fan brush. As I said, I am still a beginner, so I bought a few drugstore brushes that had great reviews and I used them to the best of my ability. But over summer, when Dre visited me, we went to the Morphe Store and I bought two brushes that I felt I needed because my drugstore ones were't the best. I bought a contour/bronzing brush and a highlighting fan brush. I loved these new morphe brushes with the products I was using at the time. For highlighting I was using the Carli Bybel Palette, which I adore. But when I started using the ABH palette, I don't know what it was but I felt like the morphe fan brush wasn't picking up a lot of product. So I grabbed my ecotools one and omg, AMAZINGGG!!!!!! Aka my Ecotools with the Glow Kit have been my first and second favs lol.

I guess I will just continue with make up lol. Kylie Lip Kits. I know these were highly controversial when first released, whether they were worth the price tag and if the quality was even good or if they were just selling because they were her's and even how hard it was to get her products. But I feel things have gotten better in terms of I see a lot more positive things about the line now. But the other day Josh did hear someone talking sh*t saying they weren't worth it. But personally, I love them and they are honestly all I wear, well besides my Burt's Bee's lipgloss, which is another quick fav. I have the mini's, Brown Sugar, Dirty Peach, Candy K and Mary Jo. I have been especially loving Dirty Peach and Brown Sugar. All I do is put on a layer of chapstick, Vaseline, at the beginning of doing my make up and then I apply the lip liner and lipstick as my second to final step in the process. So the chapstick does dry a little but there is a layer under. And again, I love them, from application, formula, how long they last, and the colors.

Lastly for make up, Lancome Blush. I was given this a gift by Josh's mom, she is a crazy make up junkie and has given me things here and there and this blush was one of them. I like wearing this one when I am not trying to go too crazy because it is cool toned and light? Idk if light is the right color but I love that I can build it up, my only other blush is a revlon one and with that one a little goes a long way and since I am still learning, there have been a few times where I put on way too much. But again, this Lancome is cool toned, very pretty and nicely buildable.

Now for other favorites, my jean jacket. I bought this jean jacket from Forever21 back in Spring, maybe like middle or beginning of spring I want to say and I honestly wear it like all the time. Ever since I bought it, it is constantly my go to. I was more jean jackets in different shades and different cuts, I would love a more boyfriend fitting one. Ugh but yes, I got this jacket from Forever a while back but I am sure they have plenty more.

This month but especially the past like two weeks, I have been thoroughly enjoying my hats. I am gravitating towards them constantly and I know it's because I have been staying up late studying and doing homework so in the mornings I really just want to hide in the back of my classroom and not show my face haha. But I have a variety of hats, they're all like the typical dad hats everyone loves now. I alternate between basic outfits and the different hats and wala, with a simple v neck, jeans or tights and a hat, outfit complete.

With that said ^, another item that has been super easy for me to grab and throw on with those simple outfits and laid back looks have been my nike kaishi's. I did a review on them a while back compared to the rose run because roshe's were super popular last year and the kaishi's look similar but as I said in that review, I love the kaishi's so much more! And because they're just a simple black and white and are comfy, I have just been reaching for them constantly.

Lastly for this months favorites, my iPad mini. I bought an iPad mini at the beginning of the month and I have not been able to put it down. My MacBook Air is obviously light and somewhat small but obviously my iPad mini is so much more convenient to carry around especially from class to class and all over campus. I honestly mainly bought it to watch shows and youtube videos and stuff, because I truly believe that I messed up my Toshiba so quickly because I constantly had that computer multitasking, doing my hw and watching shows. Or even just watching netflix marathons, that is a long time to have a computer running. And since this computer cost so much more than the last one, I really want to take care of this one. So I bought my iPad with the intention of using it to watch shows or if I'm doing hw to play my show on there so my laptop wasn't running so many things at once and this has been my best idea yet lol. It's going to sound dumb to some I am sure, but Andrea and I watch a lot of shows together, but being college students, we have a lot of hw on our computers. So sometimes it's a hassle when we wanted to watch something but we both needed our computers for something else, so now we have the iPad lol. But seriously, this iPad has to be one of my best investments yet.

That is all for my favorites this month though, I hope you enjoyed reading all about these and I hope you get inspired to buy some of these items if you were considering any. I will see y'all on Thursday with an adventure post!

Love,

Bee
